Link your LinkedIn account, and your LinkedIn messages appear in Element as rooms.

Before you start

• You need your LinkedIn login.
• Open Element on a computer if you can. Signing in is easier there.

Link LinkedIn

1. In Element, start a direct chat with @linkedinbot:<your server>. Your server address is on your dashboard under Your Matrix login → Server.
2. Send the message login.
3. Read the bot's reply and sign in exactly as it instructs, one step at a time.
4. Wait for the bot to confirm that you are signed in.

Your LinkedIn conversations then start to appear in Element as rooms.

Good to know

• Each person links their own account. Your colleagues don't see your LinkedIn messages.
• LinkedIn may ask you to confirm the new login. If you get a security notice from LinkedIn, confirm that it was you.
• Unlink: send logout to linkedinbot.

If something goes wrong

• The login didn't finish: send login again and start over.
• Messages stopped arriving: LinkedIn sometimes ends logins. Send login again. See also A bridge stopped working.
